Hello, I’m Alejandro, a chef with over 14 years of experience in the culinary arts. In 2017, I decided to travel to New Zealand in search of new opportunities and adventures, never imagining that I would find not only a new home but also the love of my life. Together, we built a beautiful family, with the arrival of our little one, who transformed our lives and inspired us to keep dreaming.
From that transformation, The Salteño was born—a project that reflects not only my passion for cooking but also my roots. The Salteño focuses on offering traditional empanadas and pastries, crafted from recipes that evoke the authentic flavors of Salta, a city in northern Argentina that I hold close to my heart. Every empanada and pastry I prepare is filled with history, love, and the desire to share a part of my culture with those who enjoy them.
I am excited and eager to see what the future holds and look forward to continuing to grow, create, and share these unique flavors with all of you.
